Feschino Releases Unheard Testimony of
"Flatwoods Monster" Witness Kathleen May

Well, fellow Feschino freaks! Just when you thought you had heard everything about the "Flatwoods Monster" incident, the authority on the case, one Frank Feschino, Jr. releases some never before heard, first-hand testimony of primary witness (the late) Kathleen May.  Here's some stuff to put a decided wave in your short and curlies!

Not what May or any other witness
described to the TV station artist...
Some back-story: during his investigation into the Flatwoods incident beginning in 1991, Feschino, after a long hard slog to win their trust, worked very closely with the May family. He interviewed matriarch Mrs. May numerous times about her close encounter with the giant being come to be known as the "Flatwoods Monster."  Feschino transcribed much of her interviews into his books... but not everything!

Now, for the first time, Frank is releasing some startling testimony from Mrs. May discussed during two particular taped interviews in West Virginia Remember this stuff's on tape folks.

Intrepid researcher Feschino reveals startlingly visceral information about the aftermath of the terrifying 1952 "Flatwoods Monster" incident involving her two boys, Freddie and Eddie, among others, and the illnesses they endured... ...suffering their whole lives as it turns out. To get the elephant out of the room I asked why he waited until now to release this information.

Feschino stated, "Alfred, it was all about respect for sensitive issues.  I was just waiting for the right time for this story to reach further out into the public, you  know?  The story needed to be taken more seriously—become better known—become better known...before more insightful, but by the same token, more personal evidences get trotted out."  He continued, "Thanks to my books, radio, TV—your awesome blogs—my research has reached out widely across the world, is very well-known, and being taken very seriously.  This is a good thing!"

"Basically?  I was awaiting the right moment for this information to be seen, and not get lost in some short-attention-span-old-news-shuffle...," Frank took a long breath, "...After my trip to Hollywood, and the interview for the documentary 701-The Movie, I knew my research and books had indeed been far-reaching!  I realized it was time."  Frank continued, "Look at it this way, I want to release this information now so people can have a real appreciation for what happens to folks when it's their blood and sacrifice that is the ink writing the primary historical page.  Heroes should be celebrated, and these people had their cross to bear for this history, and have borne that cross better than 60 years. ...It's time"

What follows now is a fast recap of the particular portion of this incident, bringing the reader up to speed regarding the aforementioned unheard testimony of Mrs. May.  During the encounter on the Fisher Farm that night September 12, 1952 which included Kathleen May, her two sons, and six other boys, she was the closest witness to the strange metallic structure nearly 12-feet tall come to be known as the "Flatwoods Monster."

Decidedly Mechanical

The reader will remember, and as previously stated in Feschino's research and the testimony of witnesses: the monster was more mechanical than of a flesh... ...was some sort of a "hovering craft" or "encounter suit," and appeared to be a lifting device or system emitting a noxious exhaust gas through long pipes!

That exhaust, a disgustingly odored miasma smelling of burnt sulfur, had billowed up throughout the area, remember, creating a cloying and distressing mist along the path where unsuspecting witnesses, walking smartly up the incline and so nearing the famous old oak tree where the "Monster" was located, encountered same.  The tense music is at its denouement.  Though, stop. That's not where this story goes.  See, what about that odiferous gas?

This sulfur stink is referred to also as a strong metallic smell by the first person witnesses. Previous to their encounter near the tree, Mrs. May reports to Frank, "[when] we got up there, we could smell a kind of... metallic odor ...and it looked like it was getting foggy." As Mrs. May and the boys walked up the path, they all walked through this gaseous mistiness of faux-fog, now everywhere along the path.  It immediately effected them severely. One of the boys called it a "horrible odor" stating, "It smelled like sulfur and really sort of made you sick!"

Now, at the exact moment of their encounter near the tree, Mrs. May was standing next to Gene Lemon, while her son Eddie was walking just behind her.  May's other son, Freddie, was at the wooden gate behind them all, readying to climb over it.  Mrs. May told Frank that she had an "irritated throat" and that her lungs began to suffer from inhaling the gas, "in the chest area."  She stated, "It was very penetrating. It effected me a good bit."

The other boys, suffered as well.  Neil Nunley, who was near Lemon, is heard to say, "We just ran into this mist. It wasn't any regular mist, it was a funny looking mist. Burnt you up, it did.  It burnt your eyes and throat."

Feschino with Fred May
Freddie May told Frank, "It was very hazy in the area along the path. It was correspondingly misty along the tree area." Fred explained to Frank, "... And that nasty smell... the smell was similar to the old TV tubes burning out in the old sets from years ago. A tube would burn out, remember, and you have what we'd call that 'metallic smell.' "

Mrs. May told Feschino the following about Gene Lemon, "He did have some irritation in his throat and nose as well as I can remember." She also told Frank that later on "Gene vomited during the night."

Also In 1952, about two weeks after the incident, two members of the Los Angeles, California based research group, "Civilian Saucer Investigation," visited Flatwoods and interviewed witnesses.

In one of their reports they documented, "Gene was so severely ill during the night that he was in convulsions and had attacks of vomiting." They added, "After two weeks, Gene Lemon still was not able to swallow carbonated drinks." They also documented, "Soon the throats of the boys were so swollen that they could not even drink water. Examination by a local doctor showed symptoms of Mustard gas."

The information that Frank now reveals was obtained first-hand from Mrs. May during two interviews.  It connects to the aftermath of the incident and involves her two boys who became quite sick themselves.  At the time Freddie was 11-years old and Eddie was 13. These boys got sicker than most realized and their sickness was not brought on by fright.

Frank tells me that in January of 1953, USAF public liaison Albert Chop told researcher Donald Keyhoe the following information, "The boys' illness was brought on by their fright." he reports. Glib and reasonable sounding.

That is a gloss, not even a reasonable supposition.  And while we're on the subject of skeptibunky argle-bargle, the sighting was not attributed to a "barn owl" as noted by skeptic Joe Nickell.

In reference to the bad smell, Nickell states, "As to the nauseating odor, that has been variously described as a 'sulfurous smell,' 'metallic stench,' gas-like mist, or simply a 'sickening, irritating' odor...The effect on three of the youths, particularly Lemon, was to cause nausea and complaints of irritated throats." In conclusion, Nickell observes, "This element of the story may be overstated."

Flag down!  That really is a meaningless statement... all denial and based entirely on supposition—bereft of all sense and sans all sensibility.  Nickell propounds many canted propositions about this case and others, as illogical as they are reductionist and as unscientific as they are unreasoning.

The following is a verbatim transcription between Feschino and Mrs. Kathleen May during an early taped interview, pay special attention to what mere "fright" can do to the physicality of human beings...not:

Feschino with Kathleen May
FRANK: Did the kids have any medical problems?

MAY: Oh Yeah! A-huh. Gene vomited all night and I had to take my boys to the doctor the next morning, and their mouths, clear down to their rectums, were as raw as a piece of meat.

FRANK: Was there bleeding?

MAY: Irritated—yes, a-huh - some...

FRANK: Was that a local doctor in town?

MAY: Yes—a-huh, Sutton.

FRANK: Do you remember his name?

MAY: Hutchinson, Dr. Bernard Hutchinson.

FRANK: Did the boys ever go to a hospital?

MAY: No—but they took shots for over a week.

FRANK: Antibiotics?

MAY: A-huh!

FRANK: Did it seem to help them?

MAY: Yes, but they couldn't even go to school.

FRANK: So, they were out of school for a week?

MAY: Yes.

FRANK: After the kids were sick, were there any other effects that had come back—any sickness?

MAY: After a while, when Freddie was at school and started taking football and basketball—he got to the point where he had dark spots all over his body. The doctors gave me medicine for it, but I forget what he rubbed on it, anyway—

FRANK: It cleared up!

MAY: Cleared up, a-huh.

FRANK: Did you have any symptoms?

MAY: Well, I had a little irritated throat.

FRANK: From the smell?

MAY: Yes, it was very penetrating.

FRANK: Do you think - since you were that close to the "Braxton County Monster" [a car length] - that any of the medical problems that you have had over the years, could be attributed to that?

MAY: ...Could have been!

The following is another transcribed section from a later taped interview between Frank and Mrs. May in Fred's presence while sitting in Mrs. May's apartment.

MAY: They [the doctors] was all uneasy about the boy's membrane—the way it [the ill effects] moved so fast and made 'em sick. He [Fred] had a sore throat and lord, for days! Eddie too, right. [looks at Fred sitting to her right, who nods yes]  I had to take them to Dr. Hutchinson. He had to give them shots. I had to take em' [the boys] everyday—for over a week.

FRANK: What were the shots for?

MAY: Infection. It was raw—from their nostrils, clear down to their throats and to their rectums.

FRANK: From inhaling the gas?

MAY: [Nods, Yes]

FRANK: It didn't seem to effect you as much—did it?

MAY: It effected me a good bit!

FRANK: It did?

MAY: Yeah—in the chest area.... in... the chest area...

What shook down out there, people?  What stranger occurrence than we know, perhaps stranger than we can know, happened on that Indian Summer in 1952?  I would know.  It may end that Frank Feschino told me so.  If the reader wants more information please go to flatwoodsmonster.com ...Read on!

UFOs: Is There A There There? - Binnall of America

My latest column for Tim Binnall's site:

UFOs: Is There A There There? - Binnall of America: Not news, that there’s no news, no there there, when it comes to UFOs. Every few months or so, UFO Land pronounces in various ways and expressions of despair, that it is the end of UFOs. We don’t care, the public doesn’t care, the main stream media doesn’t care, and if even with all of that did care, it wouldn’t matter, because — in this loop of indulgent hand wringing chicken little smug self-righteous prophetic know it all statements — there is nothing new, nothing revealed, nothing disclosed. So there. Nothing to UFOs, it’s a waste of time, move on, do something useful with your lives, and stop researching the obviously fruitless realm of aliens and UFOs.

I call a loud, vibrant, vivid, raucous and disruptive bullshit on that. For those of us who’ve had multiple sightings, missing time, encounters with some kind of other, and all the hassles, weirdness, exclusions, and misunderstandings of such events, dismissing the exploration of UFOs as some kind of sad wasteland of the loser crowd is only arrogance, combined with ignorance. The worst kind of stuffed shirt Gringch from Smugville.

It's Not Slander When It's The Truth!

It's Not Slander When It's The Truth!

Sean Meers, an uncritical fluffer of disgraced UFO researcher Dr. David Jacobs (below), a Linda Cortile supporter, and a slavish adherent of the _thoroughly_ discredited work of the late Budd Hopkins, has reached out, once again, to harass and censor "Emma Woods," the abused research subject of Dr. Jacobs. Meers has done this before.

Woods had called Jacobs to account, you'll remember finally, for questionable behaviors including, one, interest in her soiled undergarments, two, wearing medieval chastity devises, and three, hypnotically suggesting to her that she was dangerously insane and requiring psychotropic drugs. Dr. Jacobs is a history teacher and a UFO/abduction dilettante. One might immediately see the cognitive disconnect...

Meers has just lately complained to Woods' ISP that Woods' website, a vast collection of vetted audio files detailing the abuses she has suffered at the hands of Jacobs, was slandering and defaming same and should be taken down. One is reminded of pots and kettles.

See, nothing could be further from the truth... Jacobs' revolting abuses of Woods are extant, clear, and obvious. Woods' ISP did exactly that; however, without any discussion or proof, unplugged Woods' site, leaving Woods without any self-defending voice at all. See, Jacobs has even so much as been on national radio vis a vis Coast To Coast defaming and slandering Woods! Where's HER voice?

Moreover, where is it written that an idly uncritical and doting fanboy of a seeming MONSTER, like our lovely Mr. Meers, can reach out without so much as a "by your leave," and censor a woman who has been horrendously abused by another he inexplicably supports. Was it at the behest of Dr. Jacobs? One can only guess... but it is wrong. Wrong. WRONG!

On the site Below Jack Brewer writes authoritatively about Woods and Jacobs. Spin up on the UFO story of the decade, separate ufological wheat from spin-doctor chaff... and think kindly of Ms Woods. It's _my_ considered read that she's the victim in this affair... not the smirking Dr. Jacobs.

Feschino Reveals New Illustration of the 1952 "Strange Creek Monster" of Braxton County!

"Strange Creek Monster"

Feschino Reveals New Illustration of the 1952 "Strange Creek Monster" of Braxton County

Last month I posted an article regarding yet another firsthand witness who had come forward to explain that he was seemingly involved in the "Flatwoods Monster" affair of September 1952. In that article, the new Braxton County witness contacted Frank Feschino, Jr. with information about his sighting occurring on his family's property in "Strange Creek" WV, during the early morning hours of September 13, 1952. The witness, a boy at the time, had described to Frank a large 8-9 foot-tall, glowing, if metallic-looking structure, which was gray/aluminum in color, and hovering up the driveway toward his home!

Yes, reader, there does seem to be a direct connection between this incident and the "Flatwoods Monster" encounter on the Fisher Farm, as well as the "Frametown Monster" incident involving the Snitowsky family occurring September 13, 1952. See, the tiny town of "Strange Creek" is located just southwest of Frametown, where the Snitowsky incident occurred later that night. Frank had called me and explained the incident after speaking to the witness that afternoon. Subsequently, I wrote the article, "Frank Feschino and the Incident at Strange Creek."

Since that last article, Feschino, a school trained illustrator remember, has been working diligently on an illustration faithfully depicting that large metallic-like structure that the "Strange Creek" witness had described to him during their conversation. For background, I will explain how all three of these so-called "Monster" incidents are connected, and were actually the same entity sighted at three different locations, Flatwoods, Frametown, and Strange Creek.

"Flatwoods Monster"

An overview of Feschino's research shows, one will recall, that the "Flatwoods Monster" was actually a large—nearly 12-feet-tall—metallic-seeming structure. By working with the actual eyewitnesses and past documentations of the case, Feschino had concluded that this structure was likely some sort of a hovering spacesuit containing a large "being" within. This "spacesuit," then—a shell—was a mode of transportation complete with a propulsion system of some type which lifted and carried the occupant across the terrain over which it traveled. The overall appearance of the structure was described by witnesses, then—and now—as looking "mechanical."

This apparatus also acted, apparently, as a protective suit for an occupant forced to leave its downed craft on the Fisher Farm in Flatwoods and move into a foreign environment. One might imagine an astronaut departing his lunar module and walking on the surface of the moon. Additionally, this metallic-like structure could have possibly protected the occupant from hostile actions taken against it. It could have, reader, been a suit of armor.

When Mrs. May and the boys encountered the "Flatwoods Monster" on the Fisher Farm at about 8:00 p.m. on September 12, 1952, the being was enclosed in the entire suit, making it the reported twelve feet. The color of the upper and lower torso areas was described as looking like the color of aluminum. Feschino concludes this spacesuit consisted of various parts described below:

1. OUTER HELMET. A black ace-of-spades shaped outer helmet that sat upon the shoulders of the upper torso area. This outer helmet also had a clear glass-like barrier located at the front of it. The entire helmet was approximately three feet high and about three feet wide at the base.
Form of "Monster"

2. INNER HELMET. Set inside the black outer helmet, was a red-colored interior helmet that had two large porthole eye openings. It was "worn" by the occupant. The neck area consisted of some sort of collar covering and this inner helmet rotated upon this collar.

3. UPPER TORSO. The upper torso of the structure was about three feet wide at the top and flared toward the waist area. Attached to the upper portion of the torso were a pair of antennae-looking devices, which were said to resemble small mechanical toy-like hands.

4. LOWER TORSO. The lower torso flared out from the waist area to the bottom area. The bottom area was said to be approximately four feet across. Set upon the lower torso were thick pipes situated vertically and equally spaced around the lower torso. They were described as being silver in color and as thick as a fireman's hose. The pipes seemed to be the exhaust outlets for the propulsion system capable of lifting the large fabricated unit.

Now, through separate documentation and other testimonies, Feschino was able to track the flight path of the "Flatwoods Monster" after it departed Flatwoods just after its encounter with Mrs. May, her two sons, and the other boys. It had reboarded its damaged craft, followed the Elk River southwest, and then flew into the secluded region of "Frametown" where it landed on James Knoll, approximately seventeen miles away. About one full day later, George and Edith Snitowsky encountered the "Frametown Monster" on the following night at about 8:00 p.m.

"Frametown Monster"

Feschino concludes that the being the Snitowskys saw and closely encountered that night, was actually the "Flatwoods Monster" with its outer helmet, inner helmet and upper torso spacesuit "parts" removed. There, the large occupant being was seen in the flesh from its head down to the waist area, yet was still encased in the lower portion of the apparatus and hovering very near to them. During this incident, the being's large head, bloated upper body, long arms and forked, three fingered hands was seen by the witnesses, terrified at the sight of it, remember, and even sickened, made physically ill by its noxious exhaust.

Presently, now, we have the recent witness who just came forward to Feschino last month explaining his encounter in Strange Creek on the early morning of September 13, 1952 at about 3:00 am. This "Strange Creek" incident does fit into the existentiality of events occurring in Braxton County during that fateful twenty-four hour period between the "Flatwoods Monster" encounter and the "Frametown Monster" encounter. This sighting occurred about seven hours after the Flatwoods encounter and about fifteen hours before the Snitowsky sighting. Moreover, Strange Creek is located just south of James Knoll in Frametown, where the craft went down after Flatwoods. This indicates that the being seemed to have departed its damaged craft after landing in Frametown and was seen next in Strange Creek around 3:00 am and minus its helmet. Here in Strange Creek, then, we actually have the second sighting of the "Flatwoods Monster," the third sighting being in Frametown, later that night, and the tall structure at last minus its helmet and chest-piece.

Here is an interesting point to note in the Strange Creek incident: when the Strange Creek witness saw Feschino's illustrations of the "Flatwoods Monster" as described by the Flatwoods witnesses, he told Frank that he definitely did not see the big helmet or anything that resembled a helmet. He also said to Frank that since it was said to be wearing a helmet in Flatwoods, it must have taken it off before he saw it in Strange Creek. Subsequently, Feschino has reasonably concluded that the being must have taken the outer helmet and inner helmet portions of the suit off after it landed in Frametown but prior to the Strange Creek sighting. Later that night, the "Monster" was seen again a short distance away by the Snitowsky's. There the upper torso appears to have been removed.

Above, seen for the first time, is the newly released black and white illustration by Frank Feschino, Jr. It depicts the "Strange Creek Monster" as seen on September 13, 1952. For more information, videos and audio about the "Flatwoods Monster" case, please go to www.FlatwoodsMonster.com

Frank Feschino And The Incident At Strange Creek!

Frank Feschino And The Incident At Strange Creek!

Almost heaven, West Virginia,
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River.

Well, the 2014 iteration of the New Year got off to a fast start for researcher Frank Feschino, Jr!   He received a phone call from still another witness in West Virginia who claimed, and convincingly, that he may had seen the so-called "Flatwoods Monster" in Braxton County back in September of 1952, too. Verily and meat appears to be on that bone. For Frank, it was a new first-hand witness to personally come forward and speak to him in several years. Frank called me almost immediately and explained the series of events.
.
He explained that this current "Monster" sighting report, according to the eyewitness, did not occur in Flatwoods at the time Mrs. May and the boys saw it on the Fisher Farm at 8:00 pm. Moreover, it did not even occur on the night of September 12, 1952!
.
Frank said the witness claims to have seen a tall "metallic-looking" figure in the small town of  "Strange Creek" during the early morning hours of... September 13, 1952! This was about 3:00 am EST the day after all previous days history known!
.
Strange Creek, where, in 1952, this witness was a boy, is a small unincorporated little town located just southwest of Frametown and Glendon along Route 4 and the Elk River in southern Braxton County.  This is near the Clay County border. This town is about 21-miles southwest of Flatwoods.

From Flatwoods (Upper Right) To Strange Creek (Lower Left)...

Frank went on, "At first, as with any stranger or witness, I was cautious and apprehensive about him and his testimony. There are a lot of hoaxers, pranksters and skeptics out there who would try to put one over on a guy to ruin hard won reputations. I knew his name from my caller ID, which matched who he said he was, but within the first few minutes of our conversation, I bombarded him with a lot of additional questions to flesh him out."
.
Feschino said, "He told me that he grew up in Strange Creek and went to elementary school in Frametown. I then questioned him about the Frametown area, nearby territories, several small landmarks in the mountains. I also mentioned some of the people from the area, past and present residents—that sort of thing. I really grilled this guy and as it turned out, he knew many of the same people I did! He actually dated one women I knew when he was young man. Additionally, he also worked for a guy I knew in Flatwoods who has since passed away, as well. This witness knew a lot of personal stuff that an outsider or stranger couldn't possibly have known! Yes, this guy seemed to be genuine and he really knew the area better than I did, Alfred." Bona Fides seemed to pan out!
.
Encouraged by the seeming legitimacy Frank took notes during their subsequent conversation and asked many questions about his encounter on one early morning back in September of 1952.
.
Now for the encounter. The witness, who was a young boy at the time of the sighting, had explained his experience to Frank, but asked him not to reveal his name. He said that his own family didn't even believe him and he had been ridiculed by his friends and classmates for decades about what he saw on that early Indian Summer morning.
.
The witness reported, "It was frustrating to know that I saw 'it' and no one believed me. After all of these years, they joked about it and poked fun at me! I don't want to go through that again!" Frank respected the man's wishes but asked if he could retell the story publicly without him getting mad. The witness said he didn't mind if Frank told the story as long as his name wasn't used. Frank said to me, "Our conversation lasted for nearly 2-hours and the guy was sincere to the high nines about what he said to me."
.
Feschino explained, "The guy was a little kid at the time of the sighting but he actually described the true likeness of the so-called "Monster." Feschino added, "It never made sense to him, because the "thing" he saw was in Strange Creek, not Flatwoods, and he saw it about seven hours after May and the boys saw the monster in Flatwoods."
What They Saw In Flatwoods

Frank added, "To complicate matters for the witness, the 'thing' he saw in Strange Creek, didn't look at all like the original drawing depicted by the We the People rendering that was, of course, drawn all wrong."
.
Feschino said, "To this witness, the odds were stacked up against him; the location of his sighting wasn't in Flatwoods, the time of his sighting didn't fit the timeline and the description of the huge 'thing' that he saw wasn't exactly, the same as the one seen on TV... ." Frank added, "see, nobody believed him because his sighting in Strange Creek didn't fit the pattern or report of what was publicly known at that time."

"We The People" rendering for TV...

The witness was given a copy of Frank's book by a family member, which he had read over the holiday season. After reading the book it started to make sense to him. He began to connect the dots within Braxton County like Frank did and soon realized that his terrifying encounter in Strange Creek WAS linked to the "Flatwoods Monster" incident!
.
Subsequently, the witness was excited about his newly discovered findings. He decided then to come forward and tell Frank about his sighting occurring on that early morning in 1952.
.
Let me explain; during Feschino's exhaustive research, he used several documented sources and plotted numerous location points of the "Flatwoods Monster" craft after it departed the Fisher Farm in Flatwoods on September 12, 1952. From Flatwoods, Frank was able to establish the craft's flight path trajectory as it flew southwest over Braxton County, flew along the Elk River and eventually crashed in Frametown about 17-miles away atop of James Knob Hill.
Snitowsky Affair In Frametown...

Now reader, like most people in Braxton County during 1952, this "Strange Creek" witness was totally unaware of the George Snitowsky incident occurring in Frametown on the night of September 13, 1952. Snitowsky's story was not revealed until 1955, when it appeared in the July issue of MALE Magazine written by Paul Lieb. Upon reading this article years ago, Frank phoned and talked to George Snitowsky. He tells the entire story about George's alien encounter in his Braxton County Monster book. Frank states, "The Snitowsky incident was a lost part of the aggregate Ufology and was forgotten by most. The story was told one time in Lieb's article and only edited pieces of it appeared in print until I wrote about it later on in 2004."
.
Here, Feschino's research into the September 12 and 13, 1952 Braxton County UFO incidents revealed a solid timeline and tight storyline that shows how the so-called "Monsters," sighted in each of the Flatwoods and Frametown incidents, were actually the same entity. Yes, friends and neighbors; there is a connection!
.
After the "Flatwoods Monster" landed on James Knob Hill in Frametown on Friday night, September 12, George Snitowsky, his wife and baby, encountered the hovering "Monster" in the Frametown area on the following night - about 23-hours later. According to Feschino, during the September 13, 1952 Snitowsky encounter, the being was only partially clad in its hovering metallic-like mechanical spacesuit, the upper torso portion and helmet being removed.
.
Feschino explains, "Now Alfred, we have this new witness, who saw something in Strange Creek, which is only about four miles southwest of Frametown along the Elk River and only about two and a half to three miles from James Knob Hill." Frank said, "After my initial questioning and grilling, I talked to this new witness for nearly two hours and he was hugely excited about a possible three-way connection involving his encounter in Strange Creek, the James Knob crash, and the Snitowsky incident in Frametown! Feschino said, "He wanted to talk to me to see if I might have the same outlook as he did, which is a connection concerning his encounter falling into the timeline of events of those Braxton County UFO cases."
.
Frank then explained what occurred in Strange Creek at about 3:00 am on September 13, 1952, according to the witness. Feschino states, "I gave this witness my word that I would not disclose his name or even a partial name. He has a very unusual first name, you see."
.
Frank adds, "This encounter occurred on the property of this man's family, and, because he wants to remain anonymous, I even chose to leave out some of the explicit details of the family property layout because it would easily pin point the location and the name of the family in Strange Creek." Feschino then explained the incident as told to him:
.
"The witness said the family house was a two story affair set far off of the road from the Elk River. There was a long driveway leading up to the house which was bordered by woods on the left side and cleared on the other. A wood fence bordered the driveway, and there was a car port at the end of the driveway near the house."
.
Frank adds, "The witness, a young boy at the time, said his bedroom was located on the second floor of the house and situated over the entrance of the front porch. He said the front porch was enclosed as well." Feschino continues, "The guy told me that he was suddenly awakened about 3:00 am in the morning, but does not know what stirred him out of his sleep. He quickly got out of bed, went directly to his window and looked out. To his horror, he saw a 'huge figure' he described as being 'about eight or nine feet tall' 'floating' up the driveway toward the house. He also added, the driveway was 'gravel.' "
.
"The startled witness told me, 'It was coming up the center of the driveway and heading to the house! It was about 40-50 feet away when I first saw it.' "
.
Frank asked for a description and was told, "'The overall impression of it was that it was cone-shaped and it flared out at the bottom.' He said, 'It looked like a machine - it was metallic-looking.' He also said it was, 'gray in color, like metal.' I asked him, 'what makes you think it was a machine?' He answered, 'It's like seeing a car, you know it was something that was made or manufactured, and it looked like some type of metal.' He said the upper torso area was cylindrical and fluted, 'like a garbage can, but the lower area flared out." He said the bottom, 'Had to be at least four feet across.'"
.
Frank said, "Alfred, the witness was very adamant in telling me, 'the thing was floating. It was floating a few inches above the ground... the driveway. It was raised over the ground and coming straight at the house.' I asked the witness, 'How did you see it so clearly at night?'" He answered, "'The front porch light was on and I could see it pretty good, but the thing was also luminous. It was glowing and had an aura of light around it.' As an adult, he explained how he had worked in the electrical field and fully understood what an aura was. I then asked the guy, were you scared and how long did you watch it?' He said, 'I was looking down on it from above the porch and I felt safe being on the second floor of the house but as it got closer to the house, I got scared.' The witness told me, 'I saw it float and move up the driveway for about 15-feet before I stepped back from the window.'"
.
The witness then said, "When I looked back out the window a few moments later, it was gone." When I asked where he thought it had went, he said, 'It must have moved toward the carport near the house. That's the only place it could have gone. It disappeared that fast." So, in other words, it continued up the driveway and was getting closer to the house when you stepped back away for a few moments," to which he replied 'yes.'" He also said, "It wasn't moving that fast and I would have seen it moving away from the house. The way our property was laid out, I would have seen it moving away in the other directions.' He then said, "I ran out of my room and into my parents room and yelled and woke them up. I told them what I saw and they said, 'You must be dreaming - go back to bed.'"
.
Frank then asked the witness if he saw the head area of the floating thing. Frank stated, "The witness said that he did not see a distinct head shape but he said the body of the 'thing' looked like my book cover illustration and interior drawings. He said that he did not see the red head and black exterior helmet as correctly portrayed in my illustrations. He said, "I would have noticed that big black ace-of-spades covering above it." The witness then offered, "Maybe the helmet was taken off at the time I saw it." The witness added, "The body of the figure was glowing and that is what I was fixed on—the aura around it. It was metal-looking." At this point, Frank told me he was impressed with the Strange Creek incident and he chatted with the witness about other points of the incident and rehashed the story, over and over again. Throughout the conversation, the guy repeatedly stated, "Thank you Frank, for writing your book and vindicating my story."
.
Frank agrees with the Strange Creek witness, that he had probably seen the "Flatwoods Monster" about seven hours after it's craft crashed in Frametown at James Knob the night before. Moreover, if this scenario is correct, then this indicates that the "Monster" was moving throughout the Frametown, Glendale and Strange Creek areas for nearly a full day before Snitowsky encountered it on the night of September 13, 1952. In closing, Frank told me the witness stated to him, "Frank, you nailed it—you are right on!"
.
Closing—a teasing buttress to a startling conjecture. The ETH just a little further up ones nose. Something highly strange, which shouldn't be there at all if you listened to the mal-informed naysayer, but that it is right where it would need to be if it was going to be there at all. From a reluctant first hand witness, reader, and fewer and fewer of those all the time, eh?  Read on!

Whither Richie?

Reynolds Out Of Repose

Rich Reynolds, of the journalistically insipid—if real or imagined—RRR Group, was never a friend of mine, though we did at one time practice a certain collegiality—even spoke on the phone a couple of times. Collegiality, being the ephemeral thing that it is; however, was lost after Reynolds started going down even stranger and more intellectually and imaginatively stunted roads, culminating in his public suggestion, reader, to the observers of public cyberspace on Halloween day in 2005, that he possessed some "evidence" that _this_ writer—_your_ writer—might even be having sex with children... Yeah.

Story here:

http://alienviewgroup.blogspot.com/2005/11/smoke-and-fire.html

Does the reader really need to hear my denial?

Back at the Ranch and Reynolds' "even stranger and more niggardly intellectual roads," I'm alerted to this lately "deposited," so non-delightful, bit of sage "wisdom"—read excrescence—to be found on one or more of that putrescent plethora of whack-job activities passing for Web-Logs in "Ritchy Reynolds World." Look quick, reader, as stuff tends to "disappear" from Richie's Blogs... (link below)

Yes, I've been publicly critical of Rich Reynolds and RRR Group since about July of 2005. I remained within In October of that year Reynolds would drop his "P-phile" bomb on me and earn my justified enmity, _seething_ to this day.

To that end, and in that spirit, I've book-marked all that criticism of 5 years as found on these pages, from the start, and provide it here:

Search pages for "Reynolds" or "RRR" ...

There was much more criticism on Ritchy's own pages, reader, but surprise surprise! It's disappeared, as I pointed out, earlier. So, by the way... whither Ritchy? Where's his demonstration of professional veritas... ever?!

Lately, in a fit of megalomania so ripe you can smell it... he demonizes Errol Bruce-Knapp and a host of other serious persons in a thinly veiled comparison of himself to the God of the Old Testament, smiting those interested and researching UFOs like they were the "evil" cities Sodom and Gomorrah.  Reynolds has a long history of death wishes on his literary opposition.
Cast aspirsion on Errol Bruce-Knapp as he retires his UFO research effort to history?  No, the real problem is that, in all honesty?  Reynolds' gadfly obnoxiousness can't buff a shoe-top of Errol Bruce-Knapp's contribution to the Fortean, one. and two?  There's a lot of evidence of Rich Reynolds being the no talent bore, death wisher, and slandering popinjay to be found in that history... Seriously. That's the problem... actually... Eh Richie?

He spares a few in his genocide... He holds out one Paul Kimball, Reynolds' "Lot," it is presumed. I'm sure Mr. Kimball is _hugely_ flattered.

Again, I can perceive of no ufological emergency, collegiality, or sense of fair play that warrants others suffering the likes of Rich Reynolds—or RRR Group—in our company. I admit, I must be somewhat askance and akimbo to those who believe he _does_ have a place. The above singles out "why." I suspect I'm pretty fair, too. Look upon his works, ye innocent, and beware of the consequences organic to sailing aft of Reynolds' literary scow.

You're an unworthy and slandering slop-artist, Reynolds, biting at the heels and ankles of your betters in the person of Mr Knapp like a rabid Pomeranian, owing _me_ seven figure damages and unqualified public apologies for your nasty slander per se. I'll call you out whenever I see your head above a literary berm and curse you till incapable of doing so. Posted.

Feschino, Baby Ariel, And Spiderman!

Steve Markes and Frank Feschino

This past Sunday, Steve Markes and Frank Feschino, Jr. joined forces once again to set up at the Daytona Comic Show in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida for a very worthy cause.
.
No, Steve and Frank weren't taking on over-sized super-villains and fighting ugly bad guys for truth, justice and... well, you know... These two guys, real good guys actually, were standing up to raise money for baby Ariel Anne Peregrino of Missouri. If you have not followed the story, Feschino, Markes, Alfred Lehmberg and many other friends, are working together to help out baby Ariel Anne. This is the tragic girl born with a rare brain malformation called, Polymicrogyria or "PMG." Last year, Ariel was born with a partial brain, which has causes blindness, developmental delays, seizures and breathing problems. This is to name but a few of the difficulties with which she, and her long suffering family, is faced.
.
On Sunday, Steve kindly donated an entire booth from his paid setup area where Frank displayed an awesome exhibit of his "Flatwoods Monster" research, investigative materials and artwork. Feschino displayed an inclusive array of his work, but his featured display consisted of the several donated items from his private Flatwoods collection which are now up for sale on Markes' Facebook page, "Tidalwave Comics and Collectibles."
.
Frank pointed out, "Steve is great! He gave me one of his booths at the show in order to help raise money for Ariel and to make people aware of the rare 'PMG' brain unknown by the mainstream public." He added, "I made a poster display of baby Ariel, featured it on the table and spoke to a lot of people about what we were all doing." Frank said, "The people were great and really helped out, both customers and vendors. We sold one of the lots from my "Flatwoods Monster" collection and also received some donations as well."
.
Also at the show was the event's Special Guest illustrator, Mr. Alex Saviuk, also a resident from the area. Mr. Saviuk is a well-known comic book illustrator who is most recognized for his work on Marvel's most heroic superhero character in the Marvel Universe, yes readers; that would be "Spider-Man." Among Saviuk's many, many comic illustration credits, is the popular "Web of Spider-Man" comic book title and the famous Sunday newspaper comic strip, "The Amazing Spider-Man." During his career, Alex also drew many of DC comics most famous superhero characters, which include, the Dark Knight, AKA Batman, the Flash, Superman, and the Green Lantern.
.
Frank Feschino and Mr. Alex Saviuk were no strangers to each other, They've done book signings at other central Florida comic shows with one another over the years. Frank explained to Alex that he and Steve Markes were doing a fundraising for Ariel Peregrino at the show that day. Saviuk, who is well aware of Feschino's work regarding the "Flatwoods Monster" case, was impressed with Frank and Steve's efforts to raise money for the benefit of baby Ariel over this holiday season. Now folks, this is where things get really super-cool!
.
Frank explained to Alex how his true to life depiction of the "Flatwoods Monster" is heavily copy-written and his illustration images of the "Monster" are not allowed to be reproduced. In other words, Feschino owns several copyrights on the actual true image of the so-called "Flatwoods Monster," and no one else is allowed to reproduce it in any way, shape or form without his written consent. This folks, means that no other illustrator has ever drawn Feschino's "Flatwoods Monster."
.
Frank then asked the famous web-slinger artist Mr. Saviuk, if he would draw the "Flatwoods Monster" based on his real-life image of the figure and then donate it to raise money for baby Ariel. Frank explained that he has never allowed anyone else to draw it and this would be a first! Being the gentleman that he is, Alex Saviuk kindly agreed to draw Feschino's "Flatwoods Monster" in comic book style, for the benefit of baby Ariel and to let Steve handle the sale of the drawing. Saviuk then went to work, sat in isolation and spent a good portion of the day working on the piece. He brought the "monster" to life with his masterful skills through his pencils and pens. When finished, Alex had drawn a wonderful and very tight pen and ink sketch of Feschino's "Flatwoods Monster." Feschino stated, "Saviuk is my favorite comic illustrator and it is an honor to me to have had him draw this. He is a legendary illustrator and a great guy. It's very kind of him to do this for Ariel." A reminder, readers! This collectors item piece by Alex Saviuk is now being sold through "Tidalwave Comics and Collectibles," with all proceeds of the sale going to baby Ariel and her family.

Frank Feschino On Future Theater

FUTURE THEATER
WITH BILL AND NANCY BIRNES
14 DECEMBER 18:00 EST

...Revealed!  Undeclared secret air war with ET!   No one argues about or reasonably contests an assertion made on the radio for over 10 years... (Thanks for playing Docca Joe!) Why?  Because it's too weird to be real and real is what it just might be... The Extraterrestrial Hypothesis so far up your nose you feel alien boot heels scuffing your chin! Very politically incorrect.  Highly strange facts uncontested by nay-sayers lo these many years.  That seems a little odd, eh?  You know, given the peculiarity of the subject matter?  Seems like the skeptibunkies would be crawling all over and beside themselves to get at Frank to shoot him down, eh? An _easy_ mark!  Just before that strutting ufological popinjay James Mosely sloughed his coil he wrote in his last very aptly titled Saucer Smear words to the effect that the war alluded to above couldn't have happened or he'd have heard about it... ...yeah, well... he was just another one of those feeling safe to dismiss the book having not read the book, eh?

Frank Feschino And The Flatwoods Crew Stand For Baby Ariel Anne

Baby Ariel

Yesterday, Frank Feschino, Jr. called me from Florida to fill me in on something he was organizing with some of his closer friends. He needed my help. Frank explained what he was doing and I quickly agreed to come on board and support him. It was regarding a facilitated charity for a sweet baby girl who was born with a rare brain disorder in Missouri.
.
I learned this story actually begins many years ago when Frank began his "Flatwoods Monster" research in Flatwoods, West Virginia. Frank had a hard time during the early years of his research into the Flatwoods case, frankly because he was a Yankee outsider. He wasn't readily accepted by the locals hardened by years of abuse by a purposefully sneering media.
.
That was all about to change though as fate sailed into the picture. Along the "weirding way," one discovers, Frank had occasion to meet and befriend a couple of the locals at last, key persons, as it included the mayor of Flatwoods, the late Mayor Margaret Clise. It was the very substantive she who really went to bat for Frank.

Add caption
.
You see folks, as a child, little Peggy Clise had actually witnessed the burning "Flatwoods Monster" craft pass near her home that night as it flew over the now well-known Flatwoods Elementary School playground on September 12, 1952. Peggy Clise also knew the Flatwoods kids! These are the kids who actually saw the "Monster." Clise, being a witness to the craft just before it had landed, was a true believer all her life... the rest is UFO history as Frank has chronicled.
.
Indeed, throughout the years, Mayor Clise worked closely with Frank, organized many of his events, and arranged book signings in Flatwoods for Frank. These were held at the Landmark "Grandad's Store" near the Flatwoods Elementary School. Her son, one John Clise, a journalist, also assisted them and wrote many of the press releases for their activities and events.

Memorabilia

In 2009, I was honored to take part in of one of Frank's book signing events in Flatwoods, WV, and I also met Mrs. Clise! I talked with her extensively. I recall her as being intellectually impressive and hugely talented in her own right!
.
Sadly, Margaret Clise, a former writer of some note by profession, passed away a couple of years ago, but her memory lives solidly on. In the meantime, you see, John Clise began an online newspaper called the Central West Virginian. It covers news stories throughout the central part of the state including Braxton County. Frank and John kept in touch over the years and John even dedicated an ongoing page updating his readers of Frank's "Flatwoods Monster" research, events and books. He titled it, "The Flatwoods Green Monster."
.
To the chase! It was just last week when Frank went online and read John's paper. He was transfixed. On the electronic page he saw a photo posted of a baby girl, Ariel Peregrino. He was compelled to follow her story across the internet. What he discovered moved him deeply.

Ariel and Cheyenne

.
Ariel Anne Peregrino, one finds, was born on January 10, 2012 to the parents of Nicholas and Liz Peregrino of Branson, Missouri. Frank learned that baby Ariel was born with a rare brain disorder called, "Polymicrogyria," or "PMG." This is a syndrome indicating a developmental malformation of the brain. It is characterized by an excessive number of convolutions on the brain's surface! The entire surface, or portions of the surface can be affected to varying degrees, and each case is unique to the individual who has it! PMG effects each person differently and those effects are devastating.
.
Frank called John Clise the next day and asked after the child. He discovered that Liz Peregrino's dad, Rod Freeman, was a close friend of John Clise and Rod was also a columnist at the Central West Virginian.
.
Frank learned that Ariel was born in the intensive care unit at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. There, doctors determined that part of Ariel's brain was deformed, and part of her brain was even missing! During that hospital admittance she had multiple seizures and was even on an oxygen machine. Ariel was then airlifted to the St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis. On her twenty-third day after being born she was diagnosed with, "PMG."
.
As a result of this disorder, Ariel has always had terrible seizures, and, though these are controlled most of the time now, she also has breathing problems and is perpetually on oxygen." Coal to Newcastle for this poor little darling, she suffers from sleep apnea, has difficulty urinating and, of course, suffers developmental delays. Also injurious, she is mostly blind, yet may be able to see bright colors such as red and yellow, according to doctors. Finally, one of Ariel's legs is shorter than the other. Indeed, as mother Liz points out, "...Ariel was not expected to live past two months of age...," this was according to those same "doctors." Reader, this is only two months after her January 10, 2012 birthday in March of 2012. Baby Ariel will be 2 years old next month in 2014!

Ariel in CPAC assist

.
This poor baby has been singled out for extreme travail and could be called courageous and a real fighter. She is certainly loved by many people. The countless prayers of "Ariel's prayer warriors" would seem to be working!
.
Frank told me, "Alfred, when I heard and read about the problems that this baby has... it just broke my heart, man." He added, "When I saw all of her pictures online, I choked up."
.
Frank explained, "Since Ariel was born, she's had trouble breathing. Well, she was in the hospital earlier this year sick—she had a lung problem, you see, on top of everything else. Well, little Ariel somehow overcame the lung problem and bounced back!" Frank also said, "I have never seen such a young baby with so many problems who keeps fighting back and overcoming the problems with which she is cruelly faced. This kid is amazing—a real champ!"
.
Feschino also learned that there is a mystery surrounding the "PMG" syndrome and there is not much known about it. In an online story, Liz Peregrino stated, "It's scary to think how many people are affected by this disorder and that nobody knows anything about it." She adds, "There is so little known about PMG." Liz stated, "It's a horrible diagnosis and there needs to be more information out there."
.
At this point, Frank went on to explain that the Peregrino family does have insurance for baby Ariel, but the family is being consumed by additional expenses and bills that are predictably not covered, and they are constantly transporting Ariel to therapists, doctors and hospitals around the state. The insurance falls short as could be predicted.

Cheyenne and Ariel

Ariel's sister Cheyenne is also a champ in her own right; this youngster is trying to understand and cope with the situation at hand and, likewise, is suffering from the ramifications of the severe money problems. Liz stated, "Some of the bills are not covered... anything that's given the kids will appreciate it." She adds, "but I think the awareness is more important. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this." Ariel's grandfather, Rod Freeman recently said, "If you can help our little granddaughter, Ariel and her family, it would be much appreciated. Thank you and God Bless."
.
Frank then explained to me, "Alfred, I want to help, too, so I am putting up many collectables for sale from my own UFO collection for the Peregrino family. I obtained them during my long Flatwoods investigation... I am giving back to the others who need it now and John's suffering friends are in need at this time."
.
Frank stated, "Alfred, you have been to Flatwoods on several occasions with me—you know, we're like a family, the Flatwoods folks and me ...good people." With the holidays right around the corner, Frank Feschino and I are working with Frank's good friend, Steve Markes from the "Tidalwave Comics & Collectibles" store in Daytona Beach, Florida to try and raise some money for Baby Ariel and her family.
.
For this charitable cause, Frank is graciously donating some of his original "Flatwoods Monster" artwork drawings and other rare items and memorabilia signed by actual "Flatwoods Monster" eyewitnesses from his personal collection. These rare pieces have never been offered to the public before and have been kept in Feschino's private collection for years.
.
Frank is also selling other items including autographed books, postcards and photos along with these items! These are being sold in lots featured on Facebook. The URLs follow below.
.
All proceeds from Feschino's collection will go straight to the Ariel Peregrino and her family. This is a rare occasion to obtain a piece of "Flatwoods Monster" and West Virginia history winnowed out by the leading investigator into the case, and most importantly, this is an opportunity to help a great family at the same time for the holidays.
.
Please visit and "Like" the Tidalwave Page described below, and also Like the Memorabilia Lot Descriptions, too. It is for the best of good causes. This struggling family needs an assist!
